welcome to the Where The Guys Are web site

I am in the process of completely revising the WhereTheGuysAre.com web site

This is a informational non-porn web site of Kevin Fletcher Tweedy (originally inspired by the notion of keeping track of "where the guys are" when we set off on our second around-the-world trip in 2000).

Since then, it has morphed into several different shapes and purposes.

[I found this on the back of a plastic enclosing case for a laptop fan unit that I purchased recently:]

"Features:
  • The dual wind gap in back side to make the wind out from the center of main unit. And the center of NB can get more better heat efficiency by using it to avoid the CPU get over-heating and shut down situation.
  • Human-factors engineering design can make the NB with comfortable style for user. It had 2 position style that can meet user's demand.
  • The light-colored and electroplate style with shiny blue LED.
  • USB 2.0 power interface and be more save the electric power.
  • Compatible for 14" to 17" notebook."

  • With all of the manufacturing that is now going on in China, you'd think they'd spring for ONE, truly English-speaking person who could preview this crap!

In the meantime, here's a little giggle for you:

    R. I. P. :-)

    (1982-2010)

Sideways Smiley Face died on March 14, 2010, surrounded by his loved ones. The cause of death was over-use. Born on a Computer Science on-line bulletin board at Carnegie Mellon University, Mr. Face devoted his life to pointing out that the previous sentence was meant to be funny. He also gained worldwide recognition for his tireless efforts as a glib substitute for the words “I’m amused.” His other interests included frowning and winking. He is survived by his children, Sideways Surprise Face, Sideways Glasses Face, Sideways Abraham Lincoln Face, Sideways Santa Claus Face, Sideways Pope Face, and, of course, his beloved wide, XOXO. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Face’s family requests that people use actual words to express their feelings.

(At the closing credits of most tv comedies produced by Chuck Lorre, there is a less than one-second flash of a little witicism.
If you can pause your tape, TiVo or DVR these are frequently hilarious little nuggets.)
